Pictures of Absolut clocks - Models Crystal, Cathedral, Murano, Regulateur Squelette

.

Absolut is a very special wall pendulum clock, whose mechanism is the first of all times entirely made of glass. It blends, in an absolutely original design, the charm of glass and that of the measure of time.

Its running is made possible by a new and exclusive escapement mechanism, based on two micro ball bearings applied to an anchor, which roll over the teeths of an escapement wheel, instead of crawling over them, and does not need any lubrication.

High technology glass cutting processes are used in order to achieve the required precision.

Hours and minutes are displayed on two separate dials. The 8 days winding up is weight driven.

Absolut is exhibited at the Musée International d’Horlogerie, La Chaux-de-Fonds (CH), the sanctuary of horology.

Absolut is available in four versions, which can satisfy any aesthetic sensitiveness:

  • Absolut Crystal, whose transparent wheels, made of common or extralight glass, exhalt its pure design.
  • Absolut Murano, whose hours and minutes wheels, made of Murano glass, give it the fantastic colours of a millenary art.
  • Absolut Regulateur Squelette, with skeleton sand-blasted wheels and extra-low attrition ball bearing pinions and 11 days winding-up.

Dimensions: 110 x 50 x 12 cm. Weight: 30 kg.
